‘Die Danas’ managed to reach the podium no fewer than nine times at a World Cup. Until 1991, the country was represented as West Germany. In that capacity, the team won gold at a World Cup twice, in 1976 and 1981 to be precise. They won their last medal in 1998, which was a bronze medal. They finished fifth in the last World Cup in London in 2018.
